Wednesday, April 29, Day 3

PAA 8 - We worked on Cookie Cook Books today. Students will have more time to work on these.

HLTH 9 - Students worked on the final project for their dating unit. They will have more class time to work on these.

ELA 7 - Students did their book talks today. Tomorrow we will continue on with the book talks.

ELA 20 - After going through our research handout, we went to the lab to look for resources for our research essay.

SOC 10 - We discussed treaty rights within Canada, and watched CBC archives videos on this topic.

Tuesday, April 28, Day 2

SOC 9 - We reviewed for our Unit Three test which is scheduled for Thursday, April 30th.

ELA 7 - We prepared for our book talks which will be done tomorrow!

ELA 20 - Students worked on their research assignment which is due tomorrow. They also had time to start looking for information for their research essay.

SOC 10 - We corrected the Interest Group questions due today, and spent some time talking about sovereignty and culture.

Monday, April 27, Day 1

PAA 9 - We worked on hand sewing and mini pillow projects. We also started planning for our design project.

ELA 7 - This morning was used to work on our AFL testing.

ELA 20 - We finished off To Kill a Mockingbird! We will have our test later this week or early next week. We also started a handout that discusses the topic of research.

SOC 10 - We started the topic of pluralism and lobby groups. We worked on questions from the text which are due tomorrow. The Political Party assignment is also due tomorrow.

Friday, April 24, Day 6

SOC 9 - We finished our last topic of unit three: The American Revolution. We also received our unit three review sheet. We had time to go through that sheet. The American Revolution questions and the review will be due on Tuesday, April 28 and the test will be on Thursday, April 30.



ELA 7 - This class was used for the AFL Provincial testing.



ELA 20 - We went through chapters 26 and 27. The rest of the novel is due on Monday. Our test review was also given out. The test will be on Friday, May 1.



SOC 10 - We worked on creating our political parties this class. They will be due on Tuesday, April 28th.

Thursday, April 23, Day 4

PAA 8 - We corrected our salad questions to finish up our unit. We then started our next unit: cookies, a favorite unit. We looked at the different types of cookies there are, and different ingredients used in cookies.

HLTH 9 - After finishing the handout on date rape, we looked at the final assignment for this unit, which deals with creating a human sized collage of an abusive victim. This collage will be filled with visuals and text that show what would be part of an abusive victims thoughts, and feelings.

ELA 7 - This class was used to go to the lab and work on typing up our book talks.

ELA 20 - We are close to being done "To Kill a Mockingbird"!!! We went through chapters 25 and 25 and then read 26 and 27 which are due tomorrow. The rest of the book is due on MONDAY, the 27th.

SOC 10 - This class was used to work on our "Creating a Political Party" assignment.

Wednesday, April 22, Day 4

PAA 9 - We worked on our hand sewing projects and many of the students started their mini pillow project on the sewing machines.

SOC 9 - We used this class to work on Health. We discussed relationship violence and the topic of date rape.

ELA 7 - We started a survey for our AFL Provincial Test. The test itself will take around 2-3 classes to do and we will start it on Friday and continue on Monday.

ELA 20 - After going though chapters 22 and 23 we read chapters 24 and 25 which are due tomorrow.

SOC 10 - This class was used to work on our Political Party assignment.

Tuesday, April 21, Day 3

PAA 8 - We did some cooking today! Students created a Greek, Bruschetta, and Mandarin Orange Salad. Very delicious!

HLTH 9 - We took this class to do our Galileo mock trial today.

ELA 7 - We went to the lab to work on typing up our book talks. We will have more time to work on these later this week.

ELA 20 - After going through chapters 20 and 21 we read chapters 22 and 23 - The questions for these will be due tomorrow.

SOC 10 - We finished up our sheet discussing the topic of the Political Spectrum, and then worked on a group project where students created a political party of their choice, explaining the ideology they believe in and where the fall on each political spectrum.

Monday, April 20, Day 2

SOC 9 - This morning we did Health instead of Social. We discussed the topic of abuse and violence in dating relationships. Reminder that the mock trials for Social will be tomorrow.

ELA 7 - We started our book talks today! Will do more work on these tomorrow.

ELA 20 - We went through chapters 17-19 of TKAM and read chapters 20 and 21 which are due tomorrow.

SOC 10 - We started talking about Ideologies and the political spectrum today. We read a section from our text books that discuss the many types of political perspectives there are and took some notes.

Thursday, April 9, Day 1

PAA 9 - We worked on our hand sewing kits and sewed patterns on the sewing machines.

ELA 7 - Two work periods to finish up independent novel studies. Any students not done need to finish over the break.

ELA 20 - We went through chapters 15 and 16 and had a discussion on the KKK in Saskatchewan. Chapters 17-19 are due first class after the break.

Wednesday, April 8, Day 6

SOC 9 - We did one of the mock trials today - The Trial of Luther. Job well done!!!! The Galileo group will go after the break.

ELA 7 - Today was used to work on the independent novel study. Students are now starting to finish up their novels and the assignments that go with it. We will have tomorrow's class to work on it, and whatever does not get done needs to be taken home for homework over the break.

ELA 20 - We read two more chapter of TKAM. We will go through chapter 15 and 16 questions tomorrow.

SOC 10 - After correcting Locke and Hobbes questions we started discussing the topic of ideologies, by looking at issues in Canadian society.

Tuesday, April 7, Day 5

PAA 8 - We worked on salad questions, and picked out our next recipes for the lab after the break.

SOC 9 - We couldn't do the mock trials today due to student absences. We instead worked on health, doing a reading of 'abusive relationships' and had some great discussions.

ELA 7 - We learned about subject and predicates, as well as independent and subordinate clauses.

ELA 20 - After going through chapters 12 and 13, we read chapter 14. The questions are due tomorrow.

SOC 10 - We looked at two viewpoints of human nature from Locke and Hobbes. Questions for these need to be done for tomorrow's class.

Monday, April 6, Day 4

PAA 9 - We received our hand sewing kits. Students worked either on their hand sewing projects or on the sewing machines. Money for sewing kits needs to be brought in ASAP!

SOC 9 - This was the last class to work on the mock trials. They will be performed tomorrow.

ELA 7 - This class was used to work on reading section 3, doing questions and character portraits. Section three reading goals is tomorrow.

ELA 20 - We read chapters 12 and 13 of TKAM. The questions are due tomorrow.

SOC 10 - We started our third unit today, looking at decision making, legitimacy, and paradigms.

Friday, April 3, Day 3

PAA 8 - This morning we did our first cooking lab where students made salads. We enjoyed a caesar, fruit, and 'Easter' salad. Job well done!

HLTH 9 - We used this class to work on our Mock Trials for Social Studies class. One more class to prepare!!! Trials are on April 7 and 8.

ELA 7 - We read section three, worked on questions and character portraits.

ELA 20 - After finishing part one of TKAM, we did a review game for the first part.

SOC 10 - We had our unit two test today.

Thursday, April 2, Day 2

SOC 9 - This class was used to prepare for our mock trials. We will be performing the Galileo trial on Wednesday, April 7th, and the Luther trial on Thursday, April 8th.

ELA 7 - We worked on section two questions, character portraits, and some students started reading section three today.

ELA 20 - After going through chapters 9 and 10, we read chapter 11. The questions are due tomorrow.

SOC 10 - This class was used to review for our unit two test tomorrow!

Wednesday, April 1, Day 1

PAA 9 - We worked on sewing our circle and square patterns. We also worked on questions that deal with reading and understanding patterns.

ELA 7 - We spent time working on reading section 2, doing section 2 questions, and doing our character portraits. All of section two is due for tomorrow!

ELA 20 - We went through chapter 8 questions and read chapter 9 and 10 of TKAM. The questions for those last two chapters are due tomorrow.

SOC 10 - We reviewed for the unit two test which will be on Friday, April 3.
