ELA 9 - We went to the computer lab to work on typing up a draft of our Remembrance Day project.

PAA 8 - Students today baked cookies! Delicious!

SOC 9 - This was a work period to finish up the Romulus and Remus cartoon strip. These will be due next class, Tuesday, Nov. 2

SOC 10 - We worked through a handout on restrictions of freedoms, and sovereignty. Students also spent the end of class working on questions about Locke and Hobbes, two philosophers and their beliefs about human nature. Students will have more time to work on these tomorrow.

CND 30 - Student wrote their unit two exam this period.

ELA 9 - We have been continuing to work on our Remembrance Day projects in class.

PAA 9 - Students worked on hand sewing projects today.

SOC 10 - We had our unit two test today. We will continue unit three tomorrow.

CND 30 - Students will have their unit two test tomorrow!!!

Great job to the drama students on the Haunted House today! It was fabulous!!!!

ELA - We have been spending the last few classes working on Remembrance Day topics. We are looking for images to use in our Remembrance Day Program slideshow. Ms. Sastaunik has also been very helpful in sharing information and pictures with us on the late Prescott Shipway who was killed in Afghanistan in 2008. Mr. Shipway's parents are neighbors with Ms. Sastaunik and she has some very touching stories and thought provoking pictures to share.

HLTH 9 - We have been working on our Drug Fact Sheet assignment for the last two classes. We will have a little more class time to finish this assignment up.

SOC 9 - The last two classes were spent on the legend of the creation of Rome: The Story of Romulus and Remus. Students are creating a comic story strip retelling the story. We again, will have a bit more time to work on this assignment.

PAA 9 - Everyone has finished up their sewing machine tests. We are now starting our hand sewing project.

SOC 10 - After finishing up our First Nations Economics webquest, we have been reviewing for our test which will be on Wednesday, October 27th.

CND 30 - We are finished up looking at all eight of the economic models of Canada. We will soon be starting our review for unit two.

ELA 9 - We worked on our 'Four Voices' assignment, doing an analysis of poetry, and created a poem or character sketch.

PAA 8 - We looked at the lab evaluations we will be using for our first cooking lab. We also worked on salad questions.

SOC 10 - Students typed up their economic letters this class. If done they started a webquest. More time will be given tomorrow to work on both.

CND 30 - Students worked on Regional Disparity questions which are due tomorrow.

ELA 9 - We are working on our last assignment for ELA 9. Students read four poems today dealing with the theme of "Self Identity". After analyzing them on their own, looking for images, they worked with partners to compare the four.

SOC 9 - After reading an article on the ways to know about Ancient Rome, we started watching a video on Pompeii.

HLTH 9 - We went to the lab to work on our Drug Fact Sheet assignment.

SOC 10 - After a short review quiz on economic systems we started our economic systems letter. A rough draft is due for Monday.

CND 30 - Students did an assignment where they looked at the various geographical regions of the country and did some mapping work, showing the resources each region has to offer the economy of Canada.

Early Dismissal!

ELA 9 - This morning for language study we worked on verb tense. We also did a quick quiz on quotations. We worked yesterday, also, on creating a final draft of our story starter/ender for "Acceptance"

PAA 9 - We started sewing tests today. Students are still working on sewing patterns.

SOC 9 - We looked at the language of ancient Rome (Latin), and did some geography work, mapping out the areas the Roman Empire covered.

PAA 8 - We are done unit two and start our first cooking lab next day (Monday). We are making salads.

SOC 10 - Students are expected to have their "Analyzing the Numbers" assignment done for Friday. We also started looking at economic systems and will be starting a writing assignment based on that.

CND 30 - We looked at the standard of living of Canada. Students had three questions to do in response to the stats we looked at during class. This is due on Friday.

ELA 9 - Today students handed in their "On the Sidewalk Bleeding" questions which they did on Friday. They also read a short story called "Kath and Mouse" today with a partner doing a reading strategy called "Say Something". We had a discussion based on the story.

PAA 9 - The students worked on their sewing patterns today in class.

HLTH 9 - On Friday we watched part two of a video on addictions.

SOC 9 - On Friday we started our new unit on Ancient Rome. Students jotted down some notes on an introductory video we viewed on Rome.

SOC 10 - We went through a handout today on productivity and then worked on our Analyzing the Numbers assignment, comparing standard of living elements from one country to the next.

CND 30 - After discussing and reading about Social Systems, students worked on a short assignment which applied a social system from their own lives to the criteria that it is made up of.

ELA 9 - After a discussion about gangs, we read a short story called "On the Sidewalk Bleeding" and did a response to the story. We will have more time to finish the responses tomorrow.

PAA 8 - We reviewed for our unit two test which is on Wednesday, October 13th.

SOC 10 - We worked on our Standard of Living Comparison Posters which are due for tomorrow. The Standard of Living Maps and Questions are also due tomorrow!

CND 30 - We started unit two: Economics, and studied for our unit one test which is tomorrow. The dialectics are also due tomorrow!!!

ELA 9 - We went to the lab to work on our final drafts of our 'Borders' paragraph and then typed up a rough draft of our story starter/ender for 'Acceptance'.

HLTH - We started our addictions unit today by talking about addictions and watching a video that explains how addictions often happen.

SOC 9 - We did our unit one test today!

SOC 10 - Our map/standard of living assignment needs to finished for tomorrow. We also started another assignment where we will be comparing standard of living in various countries.

CND 30 - This class was used to study for our Unit One test which is now on FRIDAY, October 8th. Also, dialectics are due this day as well.

ELA 9 - We used this class to study for our Social Unit One test tomorrow!!!

PAA 9 - Today we finished learning how to thread the sewing machines and started sewing!

SOC 10 - We continued working on our standard of living assignment. Students should have this finished up during tomorrow's class.

CND 30 - We once again had class to work on our dialectics. They are due on Friday, the 8th. Tomorrow we are studying for our test which is on Thursday, October 7th.

ELA 9 - This morning we finished up our quotation sheet, worked on a story starter/ender for the "Acceptance" short story we read on Friday, and then had some time to study for our HLTH test.

PAA 8 - We did recipe conversion and cooking terms.

SOC 9 - We took this class to do our Health Test.

SOC 10 - After discussing the topic of Standard of Living we went to the lab to work on an assignment that deals with comparing Canada with other country's standard of livings.

CND 30 - This class was used to work on our dialectic essays which are due on Friday of this week. We will also be having our unit one test on Thursday.
