Sorry for the lack of entries into this BLOG!!! Now that the drama productions are all over, I can have some time to tend to the little details in life!
Here is an overview of all of the activities and assignments we have been doing in the last little while in all my classes:
ELA 7 - We started our last unit: Doing our Part of Planet Earth. We began the unit by writing a descriptive paragraph and started an inquiry project that allows students to pick a question about the environment that they want to find the answer to. Research has begun!
PAA 8 - Today we baked cookies! Very delicious!!!!
PAA 9 - Students have been working on their hand sewing projects and NEED to bring in materials for their design projects asap!!!
HLTH 9 - Today we continued working on our human sized dating abuse collages. They are due on Thursday, May 21st. Students also received a dating unit review sheet for their test. It will be on May 21st also. After voting, students decided that the next unit they we will cover is the: Abstinence, Pregnancy, Contraception, and STI unit. A letter has been sent home with a short form that needs to come back with a parent signature.
SOC 9 - Students have been working on a First Nations poster that describes a certain Canadian First Nation Group. We will have a short amount of time to work on this project and they are due on Thursday, May 14th.
SOC 10 - We just finished up our OKA role plays today. We have also started a short section of women's rights in Canada.
ELA 20 - Students are still working hard on their Research Essays. A rough draft is due this Friday (May 15th).
