ELA 9 - This was my last ELA class with the grade nines for a while. Mr. Wilson is taking over ELA tomorrow doing a Norse Myths and Legends Unit. Students have been working on a field test for the AFL Writing Assessment. They worked very hard on this assessment and it is due tomorrow. Also, students are asked to submit (by tomorrow) an entry into "My Favorite Book Contest", a contest put on by CBC radio. One last assignment students are working on is a response to the short story "On the Sidewalk Bleeding". This will be due on Friday.
PAA 8 - After correcting out kitchen utensil sheet, we reviewed the parts of a recipe and how to double and half a recipe. We also read about some of the more common cooking terms. Two more classes and we will begin out first cooking lab!
ELA 20 - After viewing videos and reading some literature, students are asked to create a comparison paragraph. This paragraph will deal with comparing the experiences and emotions of students who attended residential schools, and students who are gay/lesbian. Students have a planning sheet they will start working on tomorrow. Also, tomorrow, story books are due!
