ELA 9 - We have been working away on our speeches, song analysis (which were due today), and our Holocaust book talks. Our speeches will be due next week - practice, practice, practice!!!
HLTH 9 - Once again we read Chanda's Secrets. The story is getting very interesting!! Just a reminder that the AIDS/HIV survey was due today - many of the surveys did NOT come in today, and students have until next Tuesday to hand them in. Unfortunately, late marks will apply.
SOC 9 - We have spent time this week looking at Machu Picchu and the many wonders and beauties of it. We also started a section on Creating and Entertaining in the Inca culture. We have one more topic and then will have a unit test.
PAA 8 - Students finished up unit one with a food and safety test. We also started looking at kitchen tools.
SOC 10 - After the discussion of renegotiating social contracts, students are working on a project that looks at the minority groups in Canada, and how their voices are heard. They will have a bit more time next week to work on these poster projects and will have a test late next week.
ELA 20 - Students have been working on either their children's story books or their personal fairytale essays. We will be attending a Robert Munsch presentation on Monday to view and analyze the work of the great children's author!
