Monday! September 15th, Day 6

SOC 9 - Today we worked on our family history assignment. STUDENTS NEED TO MAKE SURE TO HAVE THEIR INFORMATION TOGETHER as this is the last week to work on the project. Students need to make good use of their time in class.

ELA 7 - We started looking at information on Terry Fox. We will soon begin our novel study, 'Run', which deals with a fictional boy named Winston, and his encounter with the Canadian hero. We did a KWL chart (Know, Want to Know, Learned) to begin our discussions. We also started looking at the CBC Archives on the Internet to see the radio and video news clips about Terry Fox.

CND 30 - Our dialectics were due today. We also started looking at the dialectics that make up Canadian history. Our first topic is First Nations and European contact. In small groups we looked at the First Nations vs. European worldviews. These will be further discussed tomorrow.

SOC 10 - We worked in the computer lab to finish up our informational brochure on power and decision making in the Canadian Government. THE BROCHURE IS DUE TOMORROW (TUESDAY, 16TH).
